With a PhD in biomedical research, Rachel is a key contributor to Information Transfer's reputation for excellence in the field of medical education; she has over twenty years' experience working with many of the top pharmaceutical companies. Her exacting standards and in-depth knowledge of a wide range of therapeutic areas have made Information Transfer one of the top agencies working in this competitive field.
Rachel develops training and product knowledge materials, delivered for print and web, to support sales representatives, medical and marketing personnel. Her particular talent is being able to explain complex physiological processes using a range of media: clearly thought-out manuals, user-friendly e-learning incorporating clear explanatory animations, online product knowledge portals and trainer support materials.
Over the years, Rachel and the rest of the pharmaceutical team have worked on products ranging from muscle relaxants and their reversal agents to fertility drugs. Clients have included Schering-Plough, Merck Serono, Bayer, Trinity-Chiesi, Wyeth, Ivax, BPL, Meda and GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals.
Outside work Rachel enjoys spending time in France and improving her French conversation and grammar at Alliance Francaise classes; she has been a member of various Cambridge choirs.
'I really enjoy getting immersed in new pharmaceutical projects, where being a detail fanatic is appreciated and actually essential to the work. Covering so many different product areas and meeting new clients means that the work is never dull, and always changing.'
