Joana Formosinho
Joana Formosinho is a medical writer, part of the team working with clients in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
Joana's background is in biological sciences. With a BSc in Zoology and an interest in the evolution of communication systems, she spent four years researching animal communication at universities in the UK and Canada.
With an aptitude for communicating complex scientific issues, Joana has worked as a consultant, writing and editing scientific reports for UK charities. She has also worked as translator and editor on technical subjects for research foundations.
What Joana particularly enjoys about her background is that it allows her to see the world at different levels, from genes and cells to whole organisms - and she loves the challenge of making those worlds come alive for others. She is able to combine this enthusiasm with her medical communication skills to develop engaging training and communication materials for Information Transfer's clients.
